Work on installing a water bore hole at the club has now been completed and continues our drive to become a more environmentally friendly and sustainable club. Water from the bore hole will be used to support our sprinkler system and protect us from the effects of climate change over the next few years as well as substantially reducing our water bill. The bore hole was drilled down to a depth of 103.0 m by ANS group ltd with the pump and electrics being installed by Cummings Bore hole Services. The club is very grateful to the support and help given by Esyllt Adair from the Clocaenog Forest Wind farm fund in guiding them through the application process and providing excellent advice and guidance. A grant of £10,000 was received from the fund towards the cost of installing the bore hole. Ruthin Pwllglas Golf Club
Competition results week ending 28th April 2024

The Captain held his away day at Oswestry Golf Club last week with 56 members and guests attending the event on a glorious day. Peter Blundell came out as the winner scoring 38 points on a course in excellent condition for this time of year. Stephen Davies came second beating Eddie Fitzsimmons on the back nine with both scoring 37 points.
The mid-week competition was the GUW Medal, Welsh Challenge Bowl and Medal which was won by Linda Cooledge scoring a nett 65 with Lady Captain Ann Davies second with a nett 68 and Janet Turner third with a nett 69.
The weekend saw the Welsh Seniors Greensome qualifier being played for the first time. Nigel Roberts and Bob Mason were the winners scoring 35 points beating Geoff Gill and Peter Blundell into second with Simon Game and Doug Amison third.

What a cracking day out for our Captain, members and guests at Oswestry golf club on Friday 26th April. The Course was in excellent condition as usual and Clive and his team were brilliant, looking after us and ensuring we had an excellent day.
