Ladies Outing to Pwllheli

The ladies section enjoyed an Outing to Pwllheli Golf Club on the 24th July.

We received a warm welcome at the club and enjoyed the mix of parkland and links on the course.

The winning team were Angela, Pam and Brenda with 80 points.  Lady Captain, Eleanor and Catherine were second with 78 points.Displaying IMG_2506.JPG

Ladies Summer Open Results

The results of our Ladies Summer Open are as follows:

1st place – Pat Bellis & Kate Faulkner – 45pts from Mold GC

2nd place – Tracy Ellis & Steph Brooks – 42pts from Denbigh GC

3rd place – Joy Burton & Flys Hughes – 41pts (on countback with 23pts on back 9) from Mold GC

Nearest the Pin – Sue Edwards from Bracken Wood GC

Nearest the Line – Pat Fischer from Mold GC

Ladies Sleepover to Patshull Park

The ladies section enjoyed 2 fantastic sunny days of golf at Patshull Park.

The Team Competition on Day 1 was won by Lady Captain, Janet Turner and Delyth Edwards and on Day 2 the Individual Stableford was won by Sue Williams.

Hole in One

Congratulations to Brenda Roberts who had a Hole in One on the 7th on Friday 2nd December.

Brenda was playing 9 holes for the winter ecletic competition with Catherine Parton.  It was a fantastic shot, played from the back winter tee with a 5 iron.

The achievement was celebrated after the ladies Christmas Competition on Saturday 3rd December in the clubhouse.

2016 Garter Match

On Sunday 18th September we hosted the annual Garter Match against Wrexham Golf Club.

The match is played as a mixed greensome matchplay format.

Each team fielded 10 pairings with a shotgun start.

All involved enjoyed the fine weather, great course and company of their fellow golfers.

Dinner was served after the game and Ruthin Pwllglas were delighted to win the trophy which was presented to Lady Captain, Marion Henshaw.
